The Cake Flight
Christine discovered Cake Bloom, a local bakery in Charlottesville, VA that ships nationally and we were really excited to try it! She placed the order, it arrived and was stored frozen until we were ready to enjoy it. We texted a couple of friends and invited them over on a random Wednesday a few hours before school pickups. And because we feel every cake should be displayed on a pretty platter, we suggest this one. We dug in, chatted, caught-up on life, filled our bellies and re-charged our souls. A perfect couple of hours before carpools, dinner making, and late-night work.
Our Review
We all LOVED the Cake Bloom slices and they have the I Had to Call You “Gold Star Award”. The texture was perfect and the flavors were pleasantly unexpected- delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. Christine can’t stop thinking about the Rainbow Carrot Cake and Angelena was surprised that the Golden Vanilla was her favorite. Neither of us would order the Floral Funfetti again.
Was this a fun, no-fuss get-together? YES! Text your friends and add it to the calendar.
At our next Mid-Day, Mid-Week Cake and Catch-Up we are selecting one of these options: Mini Tropical Bundt Cake Sampler, Laduree Macarons, or cupcakes from a local bakery we have been wanting to try.
